Har Ki Pauri - Haridwar, Uttarakhand
Haridwar is only 200 kms away from Delhi. Har Ki Pauri is Ghat at the foot of the Shivalik hillson the right banks of the Ganges in Haridwar which is itself a city and centre of ancient times. After this point Ganga is coming down on the plain on its onward journey to the Bay of Bengal.
Many religious Hindus gather at this holy spot where to have a dip. The place is also very famous for celebrating Kumbha Mela in every 12 years.
Ganga Aarti of Haridwar with hundreds of lamps in every evening is very famous. The cool and pure water of Ganga always rejuvenate the devotees while taking dip.
The place is full of old temple of different God and Goddess of Hindu. Haridwar is well connected by rail with Delhi, Kolkata, Patna, Mumbai, Varanasi, Amritsar etc.
