Diwali celebration around the World

Diwali is the festival of lights. It is also called Deepavali. It is held in autumn. During this festival, people decorate their houses with lights. Houses look very nice. The evening on this day looks like a morning. 

Diwali festival has its meaning. The light means good. It defeats darkness. Darkness means bad. It is a very popular festival of our country. 

In Bengal Kali Puja is observed on this day. People also worship goddess of wealth, Lakshmi. Children create "diyas" which are small clay lamps to light and bring the good luck goddess to their home so they can receive new clothes & toys. They like this festival very much. They burn many fireworks and crackers.
